3. Choose the Distillation times:
The number of times a product can be distilled depends on the type of spirit being produced, the desired purity or flavor profile, and the production methods. While there is no strict upper limit, there are practical considerations:
Distillation Frequency by Spirit Type:
Vodka – Flavored Vodka
Typical Range: 2–7 times. We have distributed them into 4 sections:
1-2 times [Regular]
3-4 times – [Multiple]
5 times
7 times
Why: Vodka is often distilled multiple times to achieve a clean, neutral taste and high purity.
Example: Some premium vodkas are distilled up to 10 times for an ultra-smooth finish. Beyond this, further distillation may have diminishing returns.
Gin – Fruit Gin – Botanical Gin
Typical Range: 1–3 times.
1-2 times [Regular]
3 times
Why: The focus is on flavor infusion from botanicals rather than excessive purification. The base spirit is usually distilled, and then botanicals are added for a second or third distillation.
